Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton District

2007

From an awkward youth to a radiant finished wine, this classic pinot noir has emerged from a difficult cool and wet vintage. The 2007 "Y-C Pinot Noir" is one of the most quintessential Yamhill-Carlton District Pinot Noirs we have produced.  It is elegant with layers of complexity on the pallate - wild black raspberry, dark cherry, red raspberry with subtle cinnamon and a length of finish that belies the vintage. Only 96 cases produced.

2006

A fruit-and-fragrance-forward wine; lots of dark berry/cherry fruit and a long spicy finish, typical of Stag Hollow. This wine blends 12 clones (sub-varietals) of pinot noir to make a tremendously rich and complex wine. Aged in a mix of new, one- to three-year-old oak barrels, moderate oak nuances linger on the palate. This wine is one to enjoy now and over at least the next 5 years.

2005

Winter spices, ginger, black raspberry fruit and tannin backbone on the finish. This wine is young and will age into a long keeper.

2004
Our Y-C (Yamhill-Carlton) District barrel selection pinot noir is in limited supply at 70 cases. We are sold out at the winery, though it can be found in stores.

This wine delivers dark berry fruit with hints of winter spices, ginger and medium tannin backbone on the finish. A classic vintage.
2003
This is a crowd pleaser, forward dark cherry, black raspberry fruit with a smooth and spicy finish. Luscious now, but will last for at least another 5 years.
