The gold medal came first than the Wine Enthusiast scores. This wine is an all around winner. Released Fall 2011, the 2009 Reserve 777/114 Pinot Noir is a 2 clone (pinot noir Dijon clones 777 and 114) blend, 100% pinot noir. This 2 clone blend is produced only in years when the marriage of these two clones creates elegant wine magic for our ecstatic enjoyment.
Stag Hollow 2008 Reserve and Reserve 777/114 both won silver medals at this judging.
SOON TO BE RELEASED - 2010 VINTAGE; 2009 Y-C PINOT NOIR

The 2010 vintage was produced under cool weather conditions, with one of the latest harvests in Oregon's recent history. The vintage has shown how well pinot noir ripens under cool conditions providing wines with moderate acidity, excellent aromas of grape flowers and winter spices, and tasty red raspberry, red cherry and at times cassis fruit with a long floral and spice finish.
2009 Yamill-Carlton (YC) pinot noir was held back from the earlier 2009 release date and will be ready for show time in late September 2012.

Stag Hollow's tasting room is available for wine tastings by appointment. We try to accommodate, but an appointment made a day or more in advance is sometimes necessary to arrange a tasting. No large busses or long limos because of sharp turns in our road and turning radius.
